Ms. Kim counsels clients on litigation and counseling matters in various industries and jurisdictions throughout the United States and abroad.

  • Represented a European merchant banking firm in its claim against a foreign government and foreign and domestic entities in a tortious interference of prospective economic advantage and taking/ expropriation under international law matter;
  • Represented a US Customs broker in various breach of contract, duty penalty assessment, and employment matters, and negotiated settlements of same with third parties and US Customs and Border Protection;
  • Represented a Central Asian mining company in an international arbitration at the London Court of International Arbitration involving a financing dispute with a European investment bank;
  • Represented a gaming establishment concerning shareholder disputes and the development or outsourcing of proprietary software;
  • Represented both employers and employees in litigation and mediation matters involving wage and hour, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, disability, defamation, negligent hiring, misclassification, sales commissions, and indemnification rights;
  • Negotiated settlements involving foreign offers of employment, defective residential water treatment devices, packaging materials, national technical support call centers, and media companies;
  • Conducted employment law trainings and workplace investigations;
  • Obtained ruling in favor of motion for contempt for failure to abide by injunction in a trademark infringement case and negotiation of licensing agreement;
  • Represented international security service providers to the US government in their employment and breach of contract claims; supervised team of 20 paralegals in electronic discovery review;
  • Represented various clients in obtaining dismissals of actions involving fraud, conspiracy, money laundering, RICO, False Claims Act qui tam actions, and spoliation of evidence in multi-district, multi-party toxic tort cases;
  • Represented an international polo competition in obtaining a judgment against a failed investor;
  • Collaborated with French colleagues on a French website design infringement case and compliance with French data privacy laws; drafted reports on director liability and ETSI/FRAND litigation in the US; conducted a seminar on US-UK-French privilege laws.
